Administration

Board of Trustees

We are governed by a Board of Trustees rather than a Board of Directors as “trustee” better captures the custodial function that is appropriate for our educational organization. The term connotes positive action, care, and the “trust” to hold our higher purpose.

Our Board of Trustees oversees the entire Breakwater Learning non-profit organization including our School, Enrichment Center, and Parent and Professional Development. We purposefully comprise Board membership to reflect diverse experience in education, business, health, law, art, entrepreneurship and other areas of expertise. Board members are deeply committed to Breakwater's mission and values, and are fully engaged in the Breakwater community. We are continually looking for additional trustees who are inspired, excited, invested and offer unique perspectives. Interested members of the broader community are invited to inquire about participation through our Contact Us page.

Enrichment and Summer Teachers

We are pleased to offer a wide variety of enrichment classes and summer camp programs led by an assortment of talented and experienced staff across our sessions. Our enrichment and summer educators include experts in their field, Breakwater School essentialists, Enrichment Center teachers, and community partners.

2023-2024 K-8th Grade Enrichment Center Teachers

Our Enrichment Center teachers are the heart of our K-8th grade after school and vacation camp programming. These teachers support students after school by facilitating open play and group games, leading choice time activities, and teaching enrichment classes. During February and April vacation camps they lead off campus trips and specialty choice activities for campers. They really do it all! Click on their photos to learn more about our team.
