Our full day vacation camps provide off campus adventures, specialty choice time activities, and outdoor play explorations that build community and multi grade/ school friendships. Whether a day camp or a week long adventure, camps offer children a variety of exciting, engaging and inspiring options. Explore our offerings below!
Professional Development Day Vacation Camp
Breakwater Enrichment Center offers childcare to meet your needs during Breakwater School and select Portland Public School professional development days. Join the Breakwater Enrichment Center team for a fun-filled day of playing, learning, and exploring both on and off of Breakwater’s campus!
THURSAY, MARCH 19TH
K-4th Grade Camp (For Portland Public School Students); $100
Kindergarten - 4th Grade Vacation Day Camp will enjoy an off campus trip (To be determined) in the morning and on campus activities and free play in the afternoon. 4th graders can choose which camp day to participate in!
Drop off will be at 8:30 am and pick up will be at 3:30 pm with extended day care available from 3:30 - 5:30 pm.

4th - 8th Grade Camp - Winter Wilderness Survival @ Jessieland (For Portland Public School Students); $100
Have you always wondered if you could really survive outside during the harsh Maine winters? 4th - 8th Grade Vacation Day Camp is spending the day outside in the woods. Thursday, March 19th, we will be shelter building, fire building, campfire cooking, and bushcrafting at our Jessieland wilderness property in Cumberland. Be sure to bundle up, because we will be outside all day! We would love to have your 4th - 8th grader join us for a day filled with adventure, fun, and cool challenges. 4th graders can choose which camp day to participate in!
Drop off will be at 8:30 am and pick up will be at 3:30 pm with extended day care available from 3:30 - 5:30 pm.

FRIDAY, MARCH 20
K-4th Grade Camp (For Breakwater & Portland Public School Students); $100

5th-8th Grade Camp - Curling (For Breakwater & Portland Public School Students); $120
Ready to try your hand at an awesome, ancient winter sport? 5th-8th Grade Vacation Day Camp is trying out Curling on Friday, March 20th! Curling is a sport in which players slide stones on a sheet of ice toward a target area. It is closely related to shuffleboard. Pine Tree Curling Club has graciously agreed to give our vacation campers a professional curling lesson at a local ice rink. It's sure to be a day filled with fun and gaining new skills. After our curling session, we will grab a warm treat and head back to Breakwater!
Drop off will be at 8:30 am and pick up will be at 3:30 pm with extended day care available from 3:30 - 4:30 pm (there is no regular aftercare or enrichment on this day).

APRIL VACATION WEEK
K-6 Grade Nature & Animal April Vacation Camp 2026
Available for all students in grades K-6; Cost: $100/day (individual day registration only)
Get ready to adventure outside this spring! We will be jumping into a week full of outdoor and nature based adventures, field trips, activities, and crafts! Campers can expect to head off campus for a morning or afternoon outdoor adventure everyday (weather permitting)! Field trips may include Pineland Farms, Gray Wildlife Park, Mackworth Island and more (a field trip schedule will be sent prior to the start of camp). We will spend the other half of our day at Breakwater doing specialty choice times inspired by nature and animals such as watercolor painting, scavenger hunts, field games, or science experiments! We will wrap up each day with group appreciations and a special treat. Strap on your spring boots and jackets and get ready for outdoor adventure and play!

5th-8th Grade Paddling Adventure
Available for all students in grades 5th - 8th Grades; Cost: $120/day
Canoes, check! Paddles, check! Awesome trip leaders, check! We're going canoeing! (location TBD/weather dependent). For two days we will be paddling some local Maine waters, while gaining new watercraft skills. Students who sign up for this vacation camp should be proficient swimmers. No paddling experience required. Moisture wicking clothing required (no cotton).

5th - 8th Grade Camp - Casco Bay Island Bike Adventure (For Breakwater School Students); $120
On Friday, May 8th, we will catch the Casco Bay Ferry and spend the day riding our bikes on the island(s). We would love to have your 5th - 8th grader join us for a day filled with adventure, fun, and cool challenges. *Must be able to ride 4-6 miles a day on your bike.
Drop off will be at 8:00 am and pick up will be at 3:30 pm with extended day care available from 3:30 - 5:30 pm.
